I recently went to a weekend women’s retreat with my church.  I was really looking forward to it.  It started with some excitement when we found out the town it was in was right in the the middle of the path of a major storm!  So, we all gathered in the basement of the conference building for the first little bit.  Thankfully, it wasn’t bad and after some hail and rain, we were able to move back to the main room.  We enjoyed a great speaker and some awesome music by the group Alathea.  LOVE them!  The weekend was filled with fun and fellowship, laughter and tears.  It was so nice to recharge a little.  Plus as a bonus, we happened to really close to the outlets and got some shopping in 😉  I came home refreshed and anxious to see my husband and boys.  And I have to brag a little and say that I came home to a nice clean house 🙂  What about you?  How do you recharge?

I don’t know about you, but we are always needing cereal.  With 5 of us in our house, we can easily eat an entire box for breakfast.  When I heard about a giveaway for 5 FREE boxes of General Mills Cereals I wanted to share it with you.  Starting tonight at midnight EST Naddez’s Tidbyts is hosting a giveaway.  The giveaway will open through March 11th.

Meanwhile, leave a comment and let me know what your favorite cereal is.  Here we eat a lot of Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran, Bran Flakes and Cheerios.  However, my favorite cereal to have for a treat is probably Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Yum!

We have three kids and until 2011 we had never had ear infections with any of them.  Since then our son has had at least 5 and our 8 year old has had two.  I really just don’t get it.  The doctor said there is nothing we are doing (or not doing) to cause them.  He also said our son is still within the realm of normal so he is not looking at tubes or anything yet.  But this week all 3 of our kids are on medicines.  Two are on antibiotics for ear infections and the middle is on meds to treat her cough.  To those of you who are veterans at dealing with ear infections, I would love to hear any of your tips, treatments etc…

Here’s to healthy, happy kids!
