I’m a big fan of Uncle Milton Toys.  They provide a wide variety of items that inspire kids to use their imaginations while exploring the world around them.  We received a couple of items for review.  The first was Jake the Pirate from their Wall Friends line.

This cute wall hanging features Jake the Pirate, from Disney Junior’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates.  It’s just over 13 inches tall and easily mounts to the wall .

It comes with a remote control that allows the child to make Jake light up and talk.

Jake says several different phrases including “Ahoy Matey” and “Yo ho way to go!”.  I like the fact that this can be used as a fun night light.  It has a high/low brightness settings and auto shut-off.  This is nice since it does requires 3 AA and 2 AA batteries which are not included.

The next item we were sent was the Thor Lightning Energy Hammer from their Marvel Science line.

This hammer flashes with light and sound when it comes into contact with metal.  The base also lights up and holds an energy coin with a picture of Thor on it.  It took a minute for us to  get it to work because we didn’t realize the top of the hammer had to touch the metal, not the front of back like we thought.  Once he got the hang of it, my son had fun going around the room looking for metal.

He thought the sounds were pretty cool and liked that it lit up.  The hammer also requires 3 AAA batteries which is the only downside.  Thankfully, our local grocery store just had batteries on sale so I stocked up!

Uncle Milton has several other limes of toys including Fireworks Light Show, Ant Farm, Star Wars Science, National Geographic, John Deere and more!  One lucky reader will receive the toy I reviewed!
