Pet Treater is a monthly subscription service just for dogs!  They offered personalized boxes filled with treats, toys, and accessories designed to pamper your pooch.  Each month has a different theme and May’s was Backyard Playtime.

As you can see, Zoe couldn’t wait to check it out!

We received several treat/food items, all from Vegalicious, this month.

The Vegalicious Healthy Treat Bar and the Healthy Popped Snacks are wheat, soy, corn, and gluten free.  Zoe really liked both!  The Healthy Food Enhancer contains sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets and has a built in grinder that allows you to add flavor and nutrition to any dog food. It is great for times when you are transitioning your dog to a new food.  Zoe gobbled up her food so it seems she liked it!

I’ve mentioned before that Zoe is a big time chewer and she tends to tear up toys quickly.  The Chomper Gladiator is designed for dogs like her with three layers of “Tuff-ness”.  The kids had fun throwing it for her and it is holding up well.  A built in squeaker is a nice bonus.

This cute Bottle Squeakers toy by Outward Hound is stuffing free and crackles, crunches and squeaks.  Zoe loved it but unfortunately she had destroyed the bottle within a couple of hours.  The tag says that the bottle can be replaced with another empty water bottle by removing it and transferring the squeaker cap to the new bottle.  Unfortunately, Zoe chewed the squeaker part too :/  She had fun while it lasted though!

We also received this Pup Stop Barrier from also from Outward Hound.

It’s perfect for those who travel with their dogs.  It easily connects between the two front seats to keep your dog from climbing up into the front seat.

Every Pet Treater Box contains a “Human Treat”.  This month it was this fun journal by From: Frank .

It’s filled with pictures of adorable dogs and cats with plenty of space to write in.  My son claimed this right away because he loves animals and also loves to write and draw.

I’m excited to share the contents of the April Pet Treater box with you today!  Each box is customized for your dog and even includes a personalized letter. The theme of the February Pet Treater box was “Spring into Action”.

April Pet Treater

Pet Treater lets you customize the box for your dog.  Zoe is, to the best guess of our vet, a corgi/lab mix so we receive boxes for a medium size dog.   To say she loves toys is an understatement.  That was evident as I started to unpack the box.  The minute she heard this Alligator toy from Petlou squeak, she came running and tried to grab it off the table!

She was equally excited about this Badger toy, also from Petlou.  It makes two different sounds by squeezing either the belly or tail.

Zoe is rough on her toys and so far, these are holding up!

Next, we unpacked the treats.  These are my daughter’s favorites.  She loves spoiling Zoe.

These Pawmegranate Lamb Strips are made with real lamb and beef, pomegranates, cranberries, and blueberries and are free of grains, gluten, wheat, corn, and soy. Zoe loved them.

The kids love teaching Zoe tricks so these Savory Chciken Flavor Training Treats by Exclusively Dog are perfect.

They are made in the USA, Made in the U.S.A of natural ingredients, contain real chicken and are wheat, corn & soy free.

Rounding out the treat department was this cute bunny Three Cheese Pleaser dog biscuit from Emmy’s Treats.

Many of the Pet Treater boxes we’ve received have contained a treat from Emmy’s Treats and Zoe has loved them all.  I like that I recognize and can pronounce every ingredient!  I also like that Pet Treater is helping to support a small business.

The April box also contained these cute From Frank:  Desk Notes.

I find myself scrambling for a piece of paper all the time so these will definitely come in handy.

Last but not least, I received these fun metal, dog shaped bookends.

The boys love to read and have a ton of books.  Hopefully, these will help keep some of those books organized!

Value Breakdown:

  • Alligator Toy- $11.99
  • Badger Toy- $12.99
  • Pawmegranate Treats- $7.99
  • Savory Chicken Treats- $6.23
  • Bunny Cookie Treat- $1.35
  • Desk Notes- $7.94
  • Bookends- $9.99

That gives this box an estimated value of $58.48.  A month to month auto shipment is only $24.99 so that’s a huge savings!  To get more info or sign up for a subscription, head over to PetTreater.com. Make sure to use the code FREE-PTBED  to get a free pet bed with either the 3, 6 or 12 month subscription.

Peaches and Petals is a monthly subscription service that delivers beauty/lifestyle boxes each month right to your door.  Subscriptions are only $19.99 a month with free shipping!  The theme of the March box was “Hello Spring!”

As spring unfolds here in Tennessee, we have been enjoying warmer temperatures and blooming flowers.  The beautiful days have definitely gotten  me in the mood to be outside.  I forgo the treadmill for walks around the neighborhood or at the park.  This Carry-All Belt from Sprigs is perfect for these outings!

img_20170401_153350

It’s the modern and much more attractive version of the fanny packs of my youth (I know I’m dating myself haha!).  It features 3 strong, stretchy nylon pouches that are big enough to hold keys, phones, ipods, a camera, and more.  The middle pocket will even hold a 16oz water bottle!  It worked wonderfully this past weekend when I walked back and forth between the different soccer fields that several of my kids were playing on.

With the nice weather and summer vacation only 7 weeks away, we have already started planning fun adventures and travels.

img_20170401_153532

This Journey Journam from Lifebok is super neat!  It features 36, cardstock pages that are designed to easily help you document your travels.

img_20170401_153636 img_20170401_153658 img_20170401_153716

It has plenty of places for photos as well as handwritten notes.  It also has 4 pockets (2 in the front and 2 in the back) to place keepsakes like ticket stubs, menus, or postcards.  My kids are really excited about filling this up with memories!

I love finding beauty items in my monthly Peaches and Petals boxes.  This month I received a bottle of Yes to Cucumbers gentle milk cleanser.

img_20170401_153447

It contains soothing cucumber, soy protein and green tea for sensitive skin and is cruelty free.  It has a light fresh scent and left my skin feeling clean and soft.

I also received a bottle of  hello mint breath spray.

img_20170401_153804

The spray has a light spearmint flavor.  It honestly wasn’t as tasty as a piece of gum but it did leave my breath cool and minty.

Finally, I received this cute elephant by Stephanie Corfee Artworks.

img_20170401_153920  It’s made of cold-cast resin and is approximately 4″ tall.  I have a friend who collects elephants so this will make the perfect “just because” gift for her.

Here’s the value breakdown (all prices taken from Amazon):

  • Journey Journal- $16.99
  • Carry-All Belt- $28.60
  • Cleanser- $5.87
  • Breath Spray- $3.19
  • Elephant- $22.65

Total: $77.30

This was one of the highest value boxes I received and definitely a good deal!  To get an even better deal, Mudpies and Tiaras readers can use this link to Peaches and Petals and enter coupon code PEACH10% to receive 10% off your first box.

Our kids love listening to music, audio books and radio broadcasts.  The issue has been streaming them into their rooms.  Typically we have had to take in a computer.  No biggie for the girls, but we don’t trust the boys not to use a computer to perfect their ninja moves. LOL! Thankfully, Best Buy just sent us Google Chromecast Audio!

Google Chromecast Audion #ad

The Chromecast Audio, is an easy-to-set up and easy-to-use Google device. It’s drawback is the same since the stone age of computers, 1995 — compatibility.
It took less than five minutes to plug the votive-sized puck into a computer speaker in our boy’s room. Our intent, was to be able to stream music and stories into their room at night for them to listen to as they go to sleep.
This is our second Chrome device — fourth if you count Chromebooks. We’ve had an HP Chromebook since 2014 that works as well now as the day we bought it. It took some time getting used to it’s complete dependence on wifi, but it’s got an enviable battery life and it stands up to kid use. We got a ChromeCast for a second tv. I bought it the day after Christmas after the grandparents bought a flatscreen tv for our kids. We’re pretty much an Apple family but we have been bothered that we can’t get Amazon Prime shows on our Apple TV, so Chromecast seemed like an excellent option. No podcasts on it. There’s other apps that have some stories, but you need to buy the premium app to cast it. Overdrive — the app used by our library system for audio books, doesn’t cast from iPhones without some workarounds listed on several sites that come up under a perfunctory Google search. Tunein Radio, a free app with a premium option, seems to be a great source. We were able to stream Adventures in Odyssey — one of the boys’ favorites, from the radio station here.

Google Chromecast Audion #ad

Now that we have some compatible apps, we are loving this!

Google Chromecast Audion #ad

It sits nicely on the boys little bookshelf in their room and it’s so sweet to see them sitting there and listening to stories with their Chromecast Audio.  Another bonus to this system is that you can stream to multiple rooms!

Google Chromecast Audion #ad

It uses wi-fi and has a crystal clear sound with no delays and skips.  There are hundreds of compatible apps available, so take your time and find out which work best for you and your family!  You can learn more about this over at Best Buy.

We have three cats.  Daisy is 13 and prefers to spend her days laying in the sun.  Polly (2) and Maxin (8 months), on the other hand, love to play!  They chase each other around the house and have woken us up more than once wrestling around.  The kids love to bring out a laser pointer and let the cats chase it around the floor.  The cats also enjoy chasing socks and other items that the kids drag across the floor.  Frolicat has taken these fun activities to the next level with their Multi Laser Toy and Fox Den.

The Multi Laser Toy has two lasers that spin around the room in fun patterns.  Maxin was immediately interested.  He chased the lasers all over!

img_20170306_181012

img_20170306_181038

It took Polly a few minutes to warm up to it but once she did, she was running in circles trying to catch that red light!

img_20170306_181508

img_20170306_181458 img_20170306_181548

The Fox Den was a hit as well.  It has a fuzzy fox tail that pops out, shakes and then hides again.

img_20170306_180507 img_20170306_182055 img_20170306_182046 img_20170306_180550

img_20170306_180841

img_20170306_181816

It has two different modes.  The first is one time play.  With that, the toy will come on for 10 minutes and then automatically shut off.  The second is All Day Play.  When in this mode, the toy will come on for 10 minutes and then rest for 2 hours. It will repeat this action three times for a total of 6 1/2 hours. But what I really like is that during the rest sessions, the motion sensor stays on.  So when the cat comes within 3-4 feet in front of the toy,  it will come on for two minutes. Once the cat walks away, the toy will rest again within 2 minutes.  This feature is great for keeping cats occupied while you’re away.

Polly and Maxin had a lot of fun with these toys and the kids got a kick out of watching them play!  Both of them are great for keeping your cat/s busy and engaged both with you there and when you’re away. The Fox Den and Multi Laser Toy retail for $19.99 a piece and can be found in many retail stores, like Bed Bath and Beyond.
