About 8 months ago, we added a new member to our household…but not in the way you might expect.  We added a new foster daughter to our home!  We are not allowed to share her name or her photos so our oldest daughter posed with the following item, but it does not detract from the story or the item!  Our foster daughter had never seen a rainbow til she moved in with us, had never had a Thanksgiving turkey and had never had a special doll.  The kind folks at The Queen’s Treasures offered to remedy that and sent her this very, very special doll.

We worked with The Queen’s Treasures a few years ago.  You can read that review here.

When they offered to send an item for us to review, I asked for any 18″ doll because I KNEW how much our foster daughter would love it!  The doll they sent her was perfect!  They sent the Laura Ingall’s doll. We LOVE watching that show and have introduced our foster daughter to it as well.  As soon as she read the packaging she KNEW it was Laura from the show we watch together.  Much like the products we received last time, the quality is top notch.

The Queen’s Treasures has so many options for doll lovers.  They have clothing, dolls, accessories and more.  And their customer service is amazing.  When they heard that this was her first doll, they also sent along a new dress for her.  Sadly, our older girls are no longer playing with dolls, but they still have their items from The Queen’s Treasures and will gladly let their foster sister play with them while she lives here.  We continue to be impressed with the quality, service, selection and staff at The Queen’s Treasures.  They are offering one lucky reader their own 18″ doll dress!  Enter below for your chance to win.

Unfortunately, our summer break has come to an end.  My kids started back to school the first week of August.  With that start, has come a bit of chaos as we all get back into the routine of earlier bedtimes and wake up times, homework, and studies.  Thankfully, my August Peaches and Petals box arrived and gave me a chance to relax and revel in some goodies.   Peaches and Petals is an awesome monthly subscription service that delivers beauty/lifestyle boxes each month right to your door. Subscriptions are only $19.99 a month with free shipping! The theme of the August box was “Do You, BooBoo!’” and all of the items were perfect for enjoying some “me” time.

Peaches and Petals August

These Rosie the Riveter Glasses ($14.99) are so neat!

The feature Rosie herself with the famous phrase

‘We Can Do It!” on one side with an explanation of where the famous image originated.  These fun glasses hold 16 oz and are dishwasher safe.

This five compartment salad bowl from Diamond Home ($14.99), is perfect for eating on the go!

It comes apart to allow you to pack everything you need for a delicious salad. I frequently take salads to work for lunch and this definitely beats taking my toppings in baggies and carting the whole bottle of dressing with me!  It even comes with a fork!

I do a lot of walking both for exercise and enjoyment.  These HEAD Performance socks  ($4) are perfect for my treadmill and park time.  They’re super soft, have breathable mesh as well as arch support, and they’re cute to boot.

I’m a big fan of dry shampoo.  It’s great for those times when I want to make a hairstyle last one more day or when I’m in a hurry to get out the door.

This dry shampoo from Batiste in blush ($6.55) smells really good and worked great!

Last but definitely not least, I received a pack of UNIBIS Cashew Cookies ($1.49).

They were light and buttery and super yummy!

The August box was a great one.  I was especially excited about the salad bowl and the socks (I love me some nice cozy socks!).  The total value of this month’s box was $42.02 so it was a great deal.  If you’d like to sign up for a Peaches and Petals subscription, use this link and use the code PEACH10% to save 10% on your first box.

Pet Treater is a monthly subscription service just for dogs! They offered personalized boxes filled with treats, toys, and accessories designed to pamper your pooch. This month’s box didn’t have a specific theme but it contained items perfect for summer adventures.

Pet Treater June

This month’s box was pretty full!  My daughter immediately went for the toys.

This Multipet Chicken Sandwich squeaker toy ($7.99) got Zoe’s attention right away.  One squeak and she came running.  It also crinkles and Zoe really seemed to like it.

This Ice Cream Cone Freezable Dog Toy by fouFIT ($14.84) is really neat!  You can soak it in water and freeze it for refreshing playtime fun.  It also floats so you can use it in the pool or lake.

This Nylabone Fun’N’Fit Vanilla Infused Small Dog Treat Toy ($5.89) mixes fun with treat time.

You can stuff it with treats, dog food, or peanut butter.  It has rubber ridges that massage the gums and help clean teeth.  Zoe stays in her crate when we’re not home and this is a great way to help keep her occupied and happy during that time.

The June box included this card about one of the items :

I’m really glad they included the Mount Everlasting Himalayan Chew ($11.14).   It’s organic with no preservatives, and made with 100% natural ingredients.  I’ve mentioned before that Zoe is a very hard chewer.  Most toys and bones don’t last more than 24 hours with her.  This everlasting chew, on the other hand, has been fantastic!  She has had it for a week now and has chewed it everyday and she still has half of it.  I’m super impressed wit it and plan to get m

ore.

I also received another treat from Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations ($1.50).  These treats are common in the Pet Treater boxes and like usual, Zoe loved it.

Summer can be filled with day trips or getaways and if you take your dog with you, it can be a hassle to lug food along.  This OutBar Meal Replacement Bar from The Great Outdogs ($3) is the perfect solution.

It contains no grains, soy, added sugar, or artificial preservatives and includes a generous portion of real animal protein.  It is all natural with added vitamins and minerals and is interchangeable with your dog’s daily food.  It can also be broken up into snack size bites as well.

These Strawberry Flavored LickOrish Chews from Exclusively Dog ($4.59) were also a hit with Zoe.  They contain no added sugars, wheat, soy or corn and are made in the USA.

We know how important dental health is for dogs so I appreciated this pack of Arm & Hammer Gum Hugging Finger Brushes ($9.99).

They’re designed to cover the whole tooth to gumline and make it easier to get into all the spaces in your dog’s mouth.  Zoe tolerated it pretty well.

My kids’ favorite item this month was the Outward Hound Pal Pak Harness ($12.87).

This neat harness features a zippered pouch with a pick-up bag dispenser so you can easily clean up after your dog when nature calls.  The second pouch can be used for other items.  We put a few treats in it when we went for a walk.  It was easy to put on and worked well!

The Human Treat for this month was a Wrist Wallet by Sportline ($13.88).

It’s lightweight and comfortable.  It features a pocket with velcro closer that’s perfect for holding cash, credit card, ID, or any other item you need but don;t want to have to carry.  It’s great for jogs or hikes.

This month;s box was one of my favorites!  It had a ton of great items and at a value of $85.69, it’s also one of the highest value boxes I’ve received.  A month-to-month Pet Treater subscription is only $24.99 so it’s definitely a great value. Peaches and Petals is a monthly subscription service that delivers beauty/lifestyle boxes each month right to your door. Subscriptions are only $19.99 a month with free shipping! The theme of the May box was “Vacation All I Ever Wanted”.

It was filled with items perfect for summer relaxation.

This pretty She Believed She Could So She Did magnetic board ($18) from Umbra is 15″x15 1/2″ and comes with six round magnets. It would be great for posting your goals or pictures of summer adventures.

This Spungee Neck Support Travel Pillow ($11.45) is super soft and conforms to your neck.  I envision using it while lounging by the pool or during roadtrips.  It’s very lightweight and the fabric is nice and soft.

I am a candle fanatic so I was excited to find this Sara Beth wooden wick’d candle in Seaside ($14), in the May box.  Not only does it smell amazing, it also features a wick that crackels when lit.  It’s so soothing and makes me think of a crackling campfire.

I also received 2 packs of gud Natural Cleansing Wipes from Burt’s Bees ($4.99 each).  The Pearanormal Activity, pear and aca berry smelled really good but the Red Ruby Groovy, grapefruit and thyme smelled amazing!  They provide a quick and easy way to freshen up after a workout or time outdoors.

Lastly, we have this hope-to-go Travel kit from Soapbox ($7.99).  This kit includes four of Soapbox’s best selling restorative Argan products, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.  It’s perfect for those weekend getaways but the best part of this kit is that it gives back.  For every travel kit purchased, Soapboa donates a month of clean water to a community in need.  How awesome is that?!

I was really happy with everything in the May box.  I’m especially excited about the pillow and the candle.  The total value of the box was approximately $61.42 so it was a great deal considering a subscription is $20 a month.  If you’d like to sign up, just visit PeachesandPetals.com and use the coupon code PEACH10% to save 10% off your first order.

Pet Treater is a monthly subscription service just for dogs!  They offered personalized boxes filled with treats, toys, and accessories designed to pamper your pooch.  Each month has a different theme and May’s was Backyard Playtime.

As you can see, Zoe couldn’t wait to check it out!

We received several treat/food items, all from Vegalicious, this month.

The Vegalicious Healthy Treat Bar and the Healthy Popped Snacks are wheat, soy, corn, and gluten free.  Zoe really liked both!  The Healthy Food Enhancer contains sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets and has a built in grinder that allows you to add flavor and nutrition to any dog food. It is great for times when you are transitioning your dog to a new food.  Zoe gobbled up her food so it seems she liked it!

I’ve mentioned before that Zoe is a big time chewer and she tends to tear up toys quickly.  The Chomper Gladiator is designed for dogs like her with three layers of “Tuff-ness”.  The kids had fun throwing it for her and it is holding up well.  A built in squeaker is a nice bonus.

This cute Bottle Squeakers toy by Outward Hound is stuffing free and crackles, crunches and squeaks.  Zoe loved it but unfortunately she had destroyed the bottle within a couple of hours.  The tag says that the bottle can be replaced with another empty water bottle by removing it and transferring the squeaker cap to the new bottle.  Unfortunately, Zoe chewed the squeaker part too :/  She had fun while it lasted though!

We also received this Pup Stop Barrier from also from Outward Hound.

It’s perfect for those who travel with their dogs.  It easily connects between the two front seats to keep your dog from climbing up into the front seat.

Every Pet Treater Box contains a “Human Treat”.  This month it was this fun journal by From: Frank .

It’s filled with pictures of adorable dogs and cats with plenty of space to write in.  My son claimed this right away because he loves animals and also loves to write and draw.

Here’s the value breakdown (all prices from Amazon):

  • Vegalicious Food Topper: $7.99
  • Vegalicious Bar: $2.99
  • Vegalicious Popped Snacks: $2.49
  • Journal:  $6.76
  • PupStop Barrior: $8.63
  • Bottle Buddy: $9.46
  • Chomper Gladiator: $11.57

Total: $49.89
