Our baby boy is 4 weeks old now. I have been busy getting back in the swing of things here at home. It can be very tough. Even though this in our 4th baby, he has been our worst sleeper. Most days I feel like I am in a haze of exhaustion but with home-school and 3 other kids and a husband…..well I do not have the luxury of daily naps or neglecting things like laundry. Oh and did I mention…we have TWO now in cloth diapers full time? Plus my husband is a mail carrier and has lots of laundry every day and works 6 days a week with LONG hours. But this is not a pity party, this is a celebration! We chose a larger family and we LOVE it! I am proud because I am getting back in action. This week I have already done at least 6 loads of laundry. All of them are folded and (mostly) put away. Plus I have the girls working on their laundry too. Today I just have a load of diapers to wash. Thank Heavens for modern appliances! On top of that, I have resumed cooking for my family. Good-bye frozen pizzas and no more frantic calls to my husband begging him to bring something home for dinner. This week I made crockpot jambalaya and white bean/cabbage soup. They are both crockpot recipes, but hey, I did get them cooked and served to my family. It feels wonderful to be cooking again. Like I said, I love my family and I love cooking and taking care of them. Last night my husband had a meeting at church and while he was gone I got all 4 kids bathed AND even managed a shower and vacuumed the living room. Phew!
