Tomboy Tools Review & Giveaway! (US) 6/22

I will be the first to admit, I am not a patient person.  When I get something on my mind, I want to do it then.  Because of this, I have learned to do a lot of things around the house on my own.  My husband is super handy but because of his work schedule, it can be hard for him to get some things done quickly.  When I found out about Tomboy Tools, I was so excited!  It is the only provider of hands-on education and high-quality tools designed specifically for women.  This is from their site:

“Our mission is to build confidence and empower women through hands-on education, quality tools and an independent business opportunity. We foster an internal culture that supports women and teaches them to feel confident using tools and to share that knowledge with others.”

I have to say, I love this idea!  I contacted the local rep, Carrie Maggard, and she was gracious enough to give me the chance to review The Basics Kit.  It includes four of their most popular tools: Magnetic Head Hammer, Multi-Bit Ratchet Screwdriver, 16′ Fractional Tape Measure and Slip-Joint Pliers all in a cute pink and black zippered Canvas Bag.

I love that they’re pink!  Being the only girl in a houseful of boys, it’s nice to have some girly things, even tools!  I also really like having the tools all together in a case.  I keep it in my bedroom so it’s quick and easy to grab whenever I need one of the tools.  So much easier than going down into the basement to search through my hubby’s tool chest for something!  All the tools have neat little features that just add to their ease of use.  The magnetic hammer is awesome!  I have to keep reminding my husband that it’s mine because he loves it too :)  It features a magnetic notched head that allows you to start a nail single-handed.  SO convenient!  No more worrying about hitting my fingers with the hammer!

The Multi-Bit Ratchet Screwdriver stores 10 bits in the handle so you always have the right bit for the right project!  It has a magnetic head as well to keep the bits in place.  It’s so nice having all the bits right there with the screwdriver.  I don;t know how many times I’ve sent one of the boys searching for a screwdriver only to have it be the wrong kind.

I love how their tape measure has fractions and metrics printed on the tape so you don’t have to count hash marks.  In the past, I’ve just guesstimated the actual measurement.  Not any more!  This makes hanging pictures and getting accurate measurements SO much easier!  I’ve used this soo many times already!

The pliers have a great rubber handle that makes it super easy to grip and use.  All of the tools are light weight and user friendly.  They offer everything you could need for your home improvement projects, from gardening and painting to power and auto tools!

Tomboy Tools is a home based business with consultants all over the country.  They offer demonstrations of the tools through home tool parties.  These type of parties have become very popular over the years but I have to say, I’ve never seen another like Tomboy Tools!  These tools would make a great addition to your home or a great and unique gift for that do-it-yourselfer in your life!  Check out all this awesome company has to offer HERE.  You can also find out how to join Tomboy Tools or host a party as well.
