I love toys that get my kids active. I also love toys that don’t require batteries. So, I was thrilled to review the Plasma Car from PlaSmart! The Plasma Car uses no batteries, pedals, or gears. It is powered soley by your child. All they have to do is simply turn the wheel and away they go! It is available in five colors. We received a yellow plasma car for review. The boys couldn’t wait for us to put it together.
It was pretty easy to assemble. It took about 10 minutes total.
My 4-year old was the first to try it out. He got the hang of it immediately. You can even go backwards just by turning the handle 180 degrees. He rode it all over the house since it was raining that day. It can hold up to 220 lbs on a smooth surface and 120 lbs on bumpy ones so it’s great for ages 3 and up. Even my hubby gave it a try! He said he felt like a kid again and the boys got a kick out of watching him I would have loved to try it myself but my baby belly made it too difficult. The next day, we took it outside. Here’s a video of my 6-year old with it.
The Plasma Car has been a huge hit! Even the neighbor kids love it. While we were outside, the kids from across the street came over to try it out. We’ve gotten toys in the past that the boys played with for a few days and then lost interest. This isn’t the case with the Plasma Car. They have been riding it every day! The fact that it can be used indoors or out is a huge plus. I love that it gets the kids active. The boys love seeing who can go the fastest (it goes up to 6mph). And since it needs no batteries or electricity to work, it’s always ready to go! The only downfall is that we only have one! We will have to get another one just so there’s no arguing over who’s turn it is! The Plasma Car is one toy that will stand the test of time!
